Lebanese Australian Singer & Artist


Chris Moussa, a Lebanese Australian singer and artist, born in Australia and raised in Lebanon.

As for his childhood, Chris lived in Lebanon, loved his village Tannourine, learned the love of the land from his idol Wadih El Saffy, and dreamt of a great future.

Moreover, he was born in a family of musicians, a father, a mother with a beautiful voice, two sisters with a great voice and talent, and his brother Charbel who sings and plays the Qanun. It is indeed a family that has a passion for music.

Many years passed with performances in school and church, and then Chris went to university of Balamand and studied Mechatronics Robotics engineering. In parallel with his engineering degree, he studied 6 years of oriental singing and Oud instrument (also known as Lebanese Guitar) at “Saint Rafca Music institute” currently known as “Philokalia institute”. His instructors were Aida Chalhoub and Lena Farah who made him admire the oriental music and encouraged him to sing Wadih El Saffy more.

Furthermore, he is also a member of Philokalia choir, conducted by Sister Marana Saad who played a major role in his music career and made him love the choir and its mission. He travelled with the choir to many countries (Poland, Cyprus, USA, Italy…), and is one of the leading singers (soloist singer) in this choir.

In 2013, Chris was part of the international congress of Wadih Al Saffy, and that showed his love for this great legend, and his passion for singing oldies and Lebanese songs. Later that year, Chris started his oriental band in Lebanon and started doing gigs.

In 2014, he played the role of “Mar Semaan El Aamoodi” in Rafqa Play, a stage musical theatre written and directed by Georges Khabbaz, In cooperation with the Symphonic Orchestra, directed by Sister Marana Saad. Orchestration and Music by: Marcel Khalifeh, Charbel Rouhana, Khaled Mouzannar, Marana Saad, Lucas Sakr, Elie Hardan, Georges Khabbaz. Chris sang Namy written and composed also by Georges Khabbaz.

Chris loved Lebanon a lot, carried this country in his heart and mind, and travelled to Australia in 2016 to start a new chapter in his music career. He dreams of spreading the beauty of Lebanon in Australia through his talents, good qualities and values.

In 2018, Chris won “Najm Anoujoum Australia” (Star of Stars) singing contest by %62 of the votes.

Moreover, Chris did his own concerts in Bryan Brown Theatre, he also collaborated with the Andalus Arabic Choir in both concerts:
2018 concert “Aman”, and 2019 “Tribute to Ziad Rahbani Concert“.
In 2022, Chris made an astonishing concert at BSC, and will be doing another one in March 2023.

His latest singles were published in January 2024 “Chta’telo“, August 2023 “Kelmet Baba” and January 2023 “Tkabarti Aalayi” and “Tkabarti Aalayi Remix” Also available on Anghami and Spotify
